Even if you weren't making a political statement about one of the largest and (main contributing countries, to environmental pollution), with the media coverage of how bad the air pollution is over there---you were well within your right to protect yourselves! I feel so sorry for the poor people of China! We have seen the disadvantaged people's homes bulldozed, to accommodate the Chinese government's presentation of a modern city, for the Olympics. We are hearing reports of water being taken from the Chinese farmers, to accommodate the Olympics. The disgrace is not, due to a few Olympians protecting themselves for polluted Chinese air; but those who are not being protected in their own country! In a country where human rights are violated---and the government is worried about a few face masks---PLEASE! I am proud of each of our Olympic athletes!
